A witch, raising her arm above a flaming cauldron, recites a spell; a young woman kneels in front of the cauldron. Mezzotint by J. Dixon after J.H. Mortimer, 1773.
A mezzotint shows a gaunt, barefoot witch in a loose robe raising her arm above a bubbling cauldron in a cave-like setting. A young woman kneels before the fire, hands to her face, while a book and hanging herbs lie in the shadowy surroundings.
