A 1549 woodcut after Hans Brosamer shows a haloed, robed God with a hand reaching toward Eve as she emerges from the sleeping, nude Adam, who lies in a dense forest. Animals, trees, a crescent moon and stars fill the surrounding landscape, and a monogram is visible on a tree trunk.
