The Eclipse

Brown etching on cream paper shows a tall building seen from a steep angle, with figures at open windows; a woman in the foreground shades her eyes as others lean out and look up. At right, a dark, rayed sky over shadowed rooftops fits the eclipse in the museum's title, credited to Félix Henri Bracquemond, 1869.
