Un hombre barbudo yace dormido sobre paja, con el torso y las piernas desnudos cubiertos por una capa roja de amplios pliegues, junto a un escalón de piedra en el borde derecho. Sobre él, un putto volador señala a querubines que asoman entre nubes doradas, y sombras oscuras enmarcan la escena en una pintura barroca.
