Engraved ornament with female figure and putti, ca. 1580-1600
An engraved page with two oval ornamental designs, numbered 8 and 11. The lower oval shows a central female bust flanked by small putti amid symmetrical scrolling foliage, a mask and grotesque details in black and white. The upper oval holds a draped standing woman among garlands and winged creatures, in a fine, densely worked engraving technique.
