Phrenology: Combativeness, a Man Challenges Another

Two men in 1840s dress stand facing each other on a pale ground. The man at left, in a long coat with a hat in hand, leans toward the standing man at right, who wears a fitted coat and white trousers with hands at his waist. The caption labels them Combativité and Fausseté et Dissimulation.
