A Short History: General Leonidas Polk, from the Histories of Generals

A bearded man in a gray military coat with gold-buttoned collar and stars looks to the side in an oval-shaped portrait at upper left. Below, a banner reads 'A Short History of Leonidas Polk.' In the lower right, a soldier in gray raises a Confederate battle flag on a rocky slope under a pale sky. Ornamental red-and-green patterned borders frame the card.

Look closer: A small cluster of distant trees or smoke appears on the horizon above the soldier.
