Hanging scroll of a woman in a patterned kimono on a veranda at night, under a pale moon and pine branches.

A Young Woman with a Cage of Fireflies

A woman in a patterned robe stands on a wooden veranda beneath a thatched roof, gazing toward a pale moon above pine branches. Soft gray washes suggest a night garden, with rocks and low plants below. The hanging scroll is painted in color on silk, with faded, muted tones.
