Album of Daoist and Buddhist Themes: Search the Mountain: Leaf 47
An ink drawing on paper showing a spotted horse-like mount and a rider at upper left, with a fierce chained beast and a robed figure below on a rocky slope. Fine, faded contour lines suggest a quick sketch rather than a finished painting, and the blank paper gives the figures room to stand out.
Look closer: A small white mark resembling a seal or character sits in the upper right corner of the paper.
