Black and white etching of a crowded procession of caricatured figures on horses and foot, with banners, onlookers and tall buildings behind.

Aldermen of the City of London in Procession, Caricature Etching, 1763

An 18th-century etched caricature shows a procession of grotesquely exaggerated, large-headed figures on horseback and on foot, carrying banners and followed by a crowd through a city street lined with tall brick buildings. A caption beneath reads 'An Exact representation of a certain wise BODY without a HEAD in the EAST.'
