Allegory of Love: Scorn, after Veronese
A reclining nude man lies on a stone ledge while a woman in blue drapery turns away beside a seated companion under oak trees. A winged cupid hovers above, and a classical niche with a statue appears at upper right. The drawing combines pen and ink with brush washes of watercolor and gouache.
