Apollo or Orpheus surrounded by Animals
A seated, draped male figure plays a large harp while animals gather around him: a deer and dogs crowd the right and lower foreground, and a small creature rests among the rocks. The sketch is worked in soft graphite lines on pale paper, with loose shading on the ground and figure.
Look closer: A small animal, possibly a rabbit or hare, lies low among the rocks at the bottom edge.
