Army Encampment, graphite sketch of soldiers

A graphite sketch on pale paper showing a wide, loosely drawn encampment. Groups of seated and standing soldiers, some tending fires or gathered at tables, fill the scene, with a tall standing figure at center and faint tents or trees beyond. Quick, hatched lines suggest the figures and ground.
