Engraved landscape with a reclining couple among vines at right, a procession of robed figures in the centre, and a chariot in the clouds at upper left.

Bacchus and Ariadne as Lovers

A reclining couple fills the lower right of this engraved landscape, the woman draped in cloth and the man leaning toward her beside a tangle of vines. In the centre, a procession of robed figures with staffs walks through tall grass, while a chariot drawn through the clouds appears at upper left.
