Bamboo in the Wind

A hanging scroll in ink on silk shows slender bamboo stalks bending across the left side, their leaves drawn in dark, quick strokes. At right, a large rock is shaded with soft washes, and orchid-like grasses rise from its top. The muted brown ground and sparse composition give the scene a quiet, windswept mood.

Look closer: A red seal and a signature in black ink sit along the left edge, near the middle.
