Bird-Headed Ewer
A green-glazed stoneware ewer with a bird-shaped spout at the top and a ribbed neck above a full body. The body is molded with roundels showing a crane among leafy sprays, flowers, and lotus-like petals around the base. The handle is a rope-like band rising from the shoulder.
Look closer: Small lotus-like petals form a band at the foot of the body, partly hidden in shadow.
