Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, Khmer, Angkor period
A dark standing figure of a crowned bodhisattva, shown frontally with a bare upper torso, a belted wrapped lower garment, and a broken right forearm against a plain gray background. Its smooth, weathered surface and calm, downcast face reflect the Khmer sculptural tradition of the Angkor period.
