Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara (Guanyin), gilt bronze

A small gilt bronze standing figure of a bodhisattva, with a tall crown and slender body, stands on a lotus pedestal before a flame-like mandorla carved with scrolling patterns. The gilding is worn in places, and the figure rests on a stepped base with arched openings, in a frontal, symmetrical composition.
