A plain yellow glazed porcelain bowl with a flared rim and short foot against a dark gray background.

Bowl

A deep, flared bowl with a smooth, evenly applied yellow glaze, set on a short straight foot. The unpatterned surface catches soft light across its rounded body, and the rim opens wide above it. The museum record places it in Jingdezhen during the Hongzhi period of the Ming dynasty.

Look closer: A faint lighter band where the body meets the foot, marking the joint of the glazed vessel.
