Bowl with Flower Petals
A white-glazed porcelain bowl with a flaring rim and a short foot ring stands against a plain gray ground. The inside of the mouth is molded with a band of raised, rounded petal lobes beneath a soft, even glaze. The record places it in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, in the Yuan dynasty.
Look closer: Faint molded petal lobes are visible just inside the rim, and a small chip shows on the foot ring.
