Bowl with Peony Sprays on Diaper Ground (exterior); Chrysanthemum Spra

A deep-walled porcelain bowl decorated on the exterior with a large pale pink peony blossom and buds on green-leaved stems against a purple ground of repeating star-like motifs. A key-fret band runs beneath the rim, and a scrolling band encircles the foot.

Look closer: A small pink bud on a thin stem at the right edge of the spray, near the bowl's curve.
