Box in Form of Lotus Leaf
A shallow, lobed ivory dish carved in relief with lotus leaves, a blossom, buds and seed pods arranged across its interior. The outer wall is incised with scalloped, overlapping patterns, and the pale, smooth ivory is lit against a dark ground.
Look closer: A small seed pod and bud sit near the right rim, easily overlooked against the pale ivory.
