Bronze statue of a nude standing man with right arm raised and a cloak over his left arm.

Bronze statue of the emperor Trebonianus Gallus

A nude standing bronze statue of a mature man, right arm raised and left arm holding a draped cloak at the hip, set on a low square base. The dark green patina and smooth modeling suggest a Roman imperial portrait cast in bronze.

Look closer: Green patina and corrosion mottle the bronze surface, especially on the legs and base.
