Bronze statuette of Aphrodite
A slender nude female figure stands on a low base, arms raised to her head as if setting her hair. The bronze is covered in green patina, with darker recesses and lighter worn highlights along the limbs and torso. Its simple, graceful modelling of the body contrasts with the loose, textured masses of hair.
Look closer: Small round mounting holes near the head and hands show where the bronze was once attached to a support.
