Candle Stand
A pale, glazed stoneware candle stand with a tall socket at the top over a flared dish. A snake-like form coils around the slender column, and leaf-like flanges spring from its sides above a lobed, petal-decorated base. The modeled and applied forms are crisp against the smooth, cream-colored surface.
Look closer: Small leaf-like flanges sprout from the column just below the dish, partly hidden by the coiling form.
