Capital with Anointing of David
A carved marble capital in low relief shows a scene of anointing: a small kneeling youth is approached by a bearded, robed figure on the left and a standing figure on the right who holds a vessel. Small carved heads in roundels rise above the scene, framed by volute scrolls at each end.
