Celestial globe with clockwork
A silver celestial globe engraved with star constellations sits within a gilded brass meridian ring and horizon band. A winged Pegasus, its wings spread, rears on an oval gilded base beneath the sphere, forming the stand for this clockwork instrument.
Look closer: A small gilded clock dial and mechanism sit on the upper part of the sphere, near the top of the ring.
