Ceremonial Axe (Fu)
A flat, tapering blade of greenish nephrite jade, narrow at the top and widening to a rounded cutting edge at the base. A single small hole is drilled near the upper end, and the surface shows pale mottling and a long hairline crack running down the center. The plain gray backdrop isolates the object.
Look closer: A long hairline crack runs down the center of the blade, with a small pale break near the middle.
