Ceremonial Dagger-Axe with Animal Masks (Ge)
A pale green-grey jade ceremonial dagger-axe lies on a gray ground, its long pointed blade tapering to a tip. Near the hafting end, incised animal-mask motifs with spiral eyes and curled forms decorate the blade, and a small drilled hole pierces it for lashing to a shaft.
Look closer: A small drilled hole through the hafting end, used for lashing the blade to a shaft.
