Ceres asks Jupiter for Return of Proserpina

Pen and brown ink with brown wash in an octagonal frame shows a seated female figure with an outstretched arm pleading before a reclining bearded male figure on clouds, with an eagle at lower right. A handwritten Italian caption beneath names Proserpina, and sketchy rays radiate from the upper right.
