Christ and the Woman of Samaria among Ruins (reverse copy)
An etching of Christ seated beside a well, speaking with a woman who leans on the stone rim beneath a crumbling arch and ruined masonry. Vegetation spills over broken walls, and a few figures rest in the lower left before a distant ruined city. The fine hatching gives the scene its soft, tonal quality.
Look closer: A small group of seated figures rests in the shadowed lower left, near the ruined city.
