Mission and Plain of San Fernando, 1856 lithograph

A wide, hazy plain stretches toward distant hills under a pale sky, with a low mission complex and small grazing animals near the middle. In the right foreground a figure stands beside a large flowering prickly pear cactus. The tinted lithograph uses soft brown and gray washes, and the text below the scene reads Mission and Plain of San Fernando.
