Clouds over Mountains, Graphite Sketch by Frederic Edwin Church
A graphite sketch on cream wove paper shows a bank of cumulus clouds drifting above a thin horizon, with dark, hatched shadows along the low land below. Faint handwritten notes sit in the upper right corner, and the loose, light strokes leave much of the sheet blank.
