Japanese woodblock print of a seated woman in a red and cream patterned kimono, with a small cat near a black stool at lower left.

Courtesan Playing with a Cat

A woman in a richly patterned kimono with red and cream motifs sits on a black, decorated stool, her head bowed and her body turned in a relaxed pose. A small cat sits at the lower left beside the stool, and vertical inscriptions appear in the right margin, in a hand-colored woodblock print with tan-toned ink.
