David with the Head of Goliath, lithograph after Guido Reni
A monochrome lithograph shows the young biblical hero David, shirtless and draped in a fur-trimmed cloak with a feathered cap, resting his hand on the bearded severed head of Goliath atop a stone block. A rope lies at his feet beside a classical column, and the crayon-style shading gives a soft, theatrical finish.
