Desert Canyon, Palestine (Israel), graphite sketch
A loose graphite sketch on pale paper shows a rugged landscape with rising hills in the distance and a deep canyon or ravine cutting diagonally through the foreground. Faint horizontal ledges and rocky outcrops suggest strata, while the upper edges are left largely open and unfinished.
