Design for a Gilt Bronze Ornament

A pen and brown ink drawing with wash shows a Rococo-style ornamental design of scrolling acanthus leaves, C-scrolls and a crowned cartouche rising from a stepped plinth. Faint graphite underdrawing and a soft tonal wash suggest a sketch for a metalwork piece on an off-white sheet.
