Design for One-Quarter of a Ceiling Decoration
A pen and brown ink drawing with brown wash shows one corner of an ornamental ceiling design. A large urn with garlands stands between two winged putti on a pedestal, while carved scrolls, acanthus leaves and a running key border frame the right side. The sheet is pale and largely empty, with faint graphite lines visible above.
Look closer: Faint graphite sketch of a small figure or floral motif in the upper left of the sheet.
