A Holy Bishop, Gilded Panel Painting

A tall painted panel shows a bishop saint in a gold-embroidered mitre and dark cloak with gilded trim, holding an open book and a crosier against a red and gold patterned brocade ground. The gilded halo and tempera-style surface suggest a late fifteenth-century panel.
