Emperors Charles V and Ferdinand I
Two men in profile face each other within an arched architectural border, one in a fur-trimmed feathered cap and the other in a wide brimmed hat, both wearing heavy collars of chain and embroidered mantles. Fine parallel hatching models the fabric and flesh in this etching, with a small pendant medallion hanging between them at the top.
Look closer: A small pendant medallion with a heart-shaped emblem hangs from the top center of the arch.
