Escapade at Night:
An oval Rajput painting set at night shows a multi-storied palace on the left, where a woman lies sleeping on a balcony while a man climbs a long rope toward her. Below, attendants sit at the palace door, and at right a saddled horse and grazing cattle stand among trees under a dark, cloudy sky.
Look closer: A small figure is visible in the upper window of the palace near the rope's top, and cattle rest in the distant field.
