Furniture or cosmetic box plaque carved in the round with striding bul
A small ivory sculpture in the round shows a bull striding forward with its head lowered, ribbed neck and curled tail. Its surface is worn and cracked, with traces of the original finish. The plain grey backdrop isolates the animal's compact, sturdy form.
Look closer: A small raised knob on the animal's back near the shoulder and the hollow in the head suggest it was attached to an object.
