General Grant and His Family

A formal family group portrait in a wooded outdoor setting. A bearded man in a dark military-style coat stands at right beside a seated woman in a blue gown, with a young man in gray, a boy in a kilt, and a girl near a horse. The muted greens, blues and browns are set against trees, with a mallet and ball on the grass in front.
