Gilt-bronze Boot, One of a Pair
A single gilt-bronze boot, shaped as a tall shaft with a pointed toe, its surface finely engraved with scrolling floral and cloud-like patterns. Three small clasps run down the front seam, where two halves close around the leg. The metal has darkened to greenish patches at the edges.
Look closer: Faint engraved cloud and scroll motifs cover the shaft, visible only in raking light.
