Gold aureus of Claudius
A small gold coin photographed against a pale background shows a laureate male portrait in profile, facing left. Latin lettering runs around the rim, and the edge is worn in places, with the bust's hair and wreath clearly modeled.
Look closer: The Latin legend runs around the rim, partly worn, and is easy to overlook at small size.
