Tang dynasty glazed earthenware figure of a seated female harpist playing an upright harp on a pale base.

Harpist

A seated female figure plays an upright harp, her head tilted slightly and her hands resting on the instrument's frame. She wears a loose robe in ochre and turquoise with a draped skirt spread over her crossed legs. The pale glaze has flaked in places, revealing the earthenware beneath, and the figure rests on a low oval base.

Look closer: A small round object, possibly a bird or fruit, sits at the base beside the figure's knee.
