Head of a Bearded Man Wearing a Turban (recto); Latin script (verso)
A bearded man in a large striped turban turns his head to the viewer, his face lit by white highlights on curling hair and beard. Brush and brown ink on gray prepared paper gives the head strong modeling against a dark ground.
Look closer: Faint darker shading on the lower-right edge of the robe and the paper's uneven gray tone.
