Head of an "Ethiopian" depicted in Hellenistic mode
A small black bronze head of a young man with tightly curled hair, inlaid gold eyes with dark pupils, and smooth, calm features. The plain cylindrical neck and polished surface suggest a finely cast sculpture in the Hellenistic manner.
Look closer: A small gold element sits at the top of the head, above the curls.
