Headdress Ornament

A hairpin ornament built from blue-green kingfisher feathers laid beneath fine silver filigree, shaped into a fan of leaves, scrolls and clustered blossoms. At the center sits a boxed, cart-like panel with small red beads, mounted on a slender metal shank photographed against a plain gray ground.

Look closer: Tiny red glass beads set among the blossoms and the cart panel add accents of color.
