Hollyhocks, Chinese ink and color painting on silk

Pink and white hollyhock blossoms rise on slender green stems against a brown silk ground, with lobed grey-green leaves built up in soft ink washes. Black calligraphy columns and red seal impressions frame the upper edges of the composition.
